Moar Bear!

Grandpa in the background: "Quick, while she's distracted! BONE OUT!"

So many bear happenings, where to start?  First off, she has gotten just about as mobile as she can get without actually crawling.  If she is laying in the crib or on the ground she is rolling one way or the other, or she is up on her hands and knees, rocking back and forth.  I was taking a nap yesterday and Brent said she was on her hands and knees and moved one knee forward.  Good stuff, but we know she is still a ways off from actually crawling.

More and more of our pics are starting to look like this...mid-roll.

As for the not rolling stuff, Lexi still can’t fully sit up on her own yet.  She is loving the Bumbo, though, which is letting her sit without all the hard work of her holding herself up.  She is always a big fan of us holding her into standing position.  As of late, Brent will come home from work and he will be laying on the bed, holding a standing Bron on his tummy.  She will then see something and get exciting, doing a little marching-dance on his stomach.  This cracks me up, so as soon as she starts, I start yelling “Do it! Do it! DO IT!”  Which gets her even more excited, stomping on dad even harder.  Brent is a big fan </sarcasm>.

In case you missed the pic I put on Facebook, Lexi is becoming a bigger and bigger Grandpa fan by the day!  The feeling is not mutual.  But any time a cat walks by, Lexi gets this “GIMME!” look in her eyes and starts to reach forward with both hands.  This totally freaks Pumpkin out, who wants no part of it.  Grandpa, however, likes to weigh the pros and cons, and usually decides that if she has to lose a little fur or get her ears tugged, it is usually worth it if she gets to curl up next to one of the adults for a few minutes.

Waaaaaaant!

Yoink!

Where should I grab you first?

We are getting a lot of babbling from the Bear, which is so stinking cute.  It’s like, who are you talking to, kid?  Does she just like to practice making sounds?  Last night Brent and I were reading in bed and we kept hearing sounds coming from the monitor and then realized that Lexi was “talking” in her sleep.  Seriously, stuff like that just makes me want to go in there and just squeeze her, I love her so much.

To round things out, she smiles all the time, and is now starting to laugh without provocation, which is hilarious.  I think she kind of does it to get attention, which totally works.  I also think she is starting to do things like cough to get attention, as I will hear her coughing, I’ll look over and she is smiling at me.  Yup, you got me, kiddo!

One more week until her half-birthday.  Too soon, Bear-O, too soon!

You want me to smile like THIS, mom?

Okay, show's over.
